Who Won MasterChef Canada Season 2?
David Jorge, a 38-year-old Portuguese-Canadian concrete contractor from Surrey, British Columbia, was crowned the winner, taking home the MasterChef Canada title and $100,000 grand prize following a 15-episode run. At the time, Jorge was — and remains — the oldest winner in the show’s history. In the finale’s third and decisive round, he raced against the clock to complete a lemon curd parfait, ultimately pulling it off with what judges called exquisite results, capping a consistently strong performance across the season. Runner-Up
Line Pelletier, a 45-year-old Canadian military veteran and computer specialist from Moncton, New Brunswick, finished as runner-up. She’d actually won the finale’s opening appetizer round with a refined lobster and foie gras surf-and-turf dish, and closed strong with a dessert cheese plate featuring chocolate-olive bread and pistachio brittle — described by judges as a pleasant surprise. Ultimately, though, it was Jorge’s complete three-course meal that carried the day.
Prize Money
The winner took home CAD $100,000 in cash, along with the MasterChef Canada title — the franchise’s standard grand prize.

Fellow Season 2 contestant Andrew Al-Khouri, originally eliminated in 10th place, also returned for “Back to Win,” advancing all the way to the semi-finals for a 4th-place finish.
